I have had a keen interest in Astronomy for about twenty years. A couple of years ago, I bought my first real telescope. At about the same time, I bought a digital camera as well, a Canon G2. It wasn't long before I figured that there had to be a way of attaching my camera to my scope. I checked with the experts at a number of camera and telescope shops and was told quite clearly that it was impossible. It was soon after that I discovered a Yahoo group called digital_astro. Here was a whole group of people who were doing the impossible!

Well that seems to be a hallmark of this great hobby. While the experts argue about why something can't be done, there's people out there doing it!!

In July 2004 I became the proud owner of a Canon 300D Digital SLR camera. The majority of the images on this site have been taken with this wonderful camera.

I am located in the beautiful Hunter Valley in NSW, Australia

I am an amateur and some may say that it shows in my work, but I do this because it's challenging and its fun.
